Back in 2017 I was introduced to the concept of Regenerative agriculture and is has changed my life ever since. It seemed to me after I watched a video on YouTube it changed my out look on how we are producing our food. As I mentioned in other posts, I grew up on a small dairy farm in Central Minnesota. On the farm we raised almost all of our own food. Mom had a garden that we help her plant each year and being that we were a dairy we were well stocked in that area as well as hamburger and other beef products. We also had about 25 layer hens. I never really knew how fortunate I was until I went off to college and had to buy all of these things from the store.

Now being that I was paying for most of my college, I wasn't able purchase the top end products at the store. Anyone who has been in this situation knows what I mean. I purchased my meat and poultry and quickly found out how well I had it at the farm. But the ironic thing was this concept did not come to me till 2017. The concept that my parents were well on there way without actually knowing it. The path of Reversative Agriculture is where a farm looks at restoring the land and introducing diversity back to the land through different plant species and bring livestock back to the land where possible. This is a very brief explanation and we will dive deeper into this another day. Buy moving from our current agriculture state to a regenerative one we are not only re-growing our soils, but ourselves, our communities and ultimately the world.
